Cullen's mom, Mary, also brought me a few other things from my wish list and I wanted to share those today. She found 4 great wallpaper sample books, all with a great variety of patterned and textured papers - you'll see a few examples in my photos. You may be asking yourself why I want these - good question. I can use the paper in my art and craft projects. I've been working with paper a lot lately, and wallpaper samples give me a lot more choices than the scrapbook paper and card stock I typically work with.
She also found 3 old copies of Life magazine - one from the 1950's, one from the 1960's and one from the 1980's. I have had the best time looking at these and I have to say my favorite thing about them is the retro advertisements. The pink Whirlpool refrigerator is my favorite! And again since I enjoy working with collage and mixed media, I plan to incorporate some of the imagery into my work. Thanks Mary!! Happy Wednesday to all!
