I was home last week, and I showed my mom these cute bird's nest Easter treats I had seen online. We were having our family up for Easter lunch, so we decided it would be fun to make them for everyone. Unfortunately mom still has the recipe, and I'm not sure what website she got it from, but if anyone is interested I can find out. I also have some tips on making them that you won't find in the recipe. If you have ever eaten haystacks (usually made with chow mein noodles and butterscotch), these are very similar. The nest is made out of chow mein noodles, melted chocolate, and peanut butter. Delicious! The candies in the nest are store-bought Reese's Pieces eggs to complement the peanut butter in the nests. And I'm sure you all recognize the Peep used for the bird. These are a very cute addition to your Easter table or any springtime event, and they could also be used as place card holders.
Very cute. Leave it to you and Jean to find something new and clever.
